PRIVACY POLICY
LogFlightPro
Effective date: 14 January 2026 • Last updated: 14 January 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AviaToric, SIA (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the LogFlightPro mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
1) Data Controller (Company Details)
If you have questions about this Policy or want to exercise your data rights, contact us at itaviatoric@gmail.com.
2) What data we collect
A. Information you provide
Depending on what features you use, you may provide:
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers (e.g., Firebase UID), login status.
- Profile data: name, phone number, base, role, personal notes (if you enter them).
- Logbook & operational records (User Content): flight entries, times, routes, aircraft data, crew roles, remarks, simulator sessions, duty/rest inputs for calculators, etc.
- Contacts & crew lists: names, roles, notes you save about people.
- Documents and attachments: files/images you upload (e.g., licenses, medical, certificates, receipts, CV), and related metadata (filename, category, dates).
- Career module data: job application message text, optional package metadata, and files you choose to attach and upload.
You control what you enter/upload. Some fields may include personal data of third parties (e.g., crew names). You must ensure you have a lawful basis to store that information.
B. Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, certain technical data may be processed automatically:
- Device and app data: device model, OS version, app version, language/region, time zone.
- Identifiers & security signals: device identifiers used for security and authentication, IP address (typically processed by infrastructure providers).
- Usage/diagnostics: basic logs necessary to operate and secure the Service (for example, sync errors, request timing, crash logs if enabled by the platform).
C. Payments
If you purchase subscriptions or in-app purchases, payments are processed by Apple (App Store). We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may provide us with limited information such as subscription status (active/expired) and product identifiers.
3) How we use your data (Purposes)
We use personal data to:
- Provide and operate core features (logbook, exports, calculators, documents, career tools).
- Sync and backup your data when you enable cloud features (e.g., account sync).
- Generate outputs you request (PDF/CSV exports, summaries, analytics inside the app).
- Customer support and communication (responding to emails, troubleshooting).
- Security and fraud prevention (authentication, preventing abuse).
- Compliance with legal obligations (where applicable).
- Improve the Service (bug fixing, performance, reliability).
4) Legal bases (GDPR/EEA)
If you are in the EEA/UK, we rely on the following legal bases under GDPR (as applicable):
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to provide the Service you requested (account, sync, exports).
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — where you explicitly opt in (e.g., optional notifications, optional uploads/exports, optional certain integrations).
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and ensure reliability (balanced against your rights).
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — if we must comply with law (e.g., accounting/records where relevant).
You may withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
5) Where your data is stored
Your data may be stored:
- On your device (local storage such as Core Data / app storage).
- In cloud services if you enable sync/upload features.
The Service uses Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Firestore Database, Firebase Storage) for certain features like account authentication, cloud sync, and file uploads (e.g., Career application ZIP uploads, documents). These services may process and store data on infrastructure outside your country, depending on configuration and availability.
If you use Apple services such as iCloud/CloudKit (when enabled), Apple may store content according to your Apple ID settings and Apple’s privacy terms.
7) International transfers
Because we use cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Google/Apple), your data may be processed in countries outside the EEA/UK. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms provided by the relevant vendors) to protect your data.
8) Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary:
- Account data: while your account is active, plus a reasonable period for security and dispute handling.
- User Content in cloud sync/storage: until you delete it, delete your account, or request deletion (unless retention is required by law).
- Support communications: as needed to handle your request and maintain support history.
Because exports and backups can exist outside the App (email, cloud drives), you are responsible for deleting copies you created outside our systems.
9) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect data (such as authentication controls and secure transport). However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and you use the Service at your own risk.
10) Your rights (EEA/UK and similar laws)
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access your data
- Correct/rectify inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent (where applicable)
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Latvia: Datu valsts inspekcija)
To exercise rights, email: itaviatoric@gmail.com
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
11) Children
The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12) Third-party links and content
The Service may display links or integrate data from third parties (e.g., weather sources, sunrise/sunset services). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
13) Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after the effective date of changes means you accept the updated Policy.
